Auer 50mm and 70mm Pole Base Length Modifications

Question:

Can you cut the poles on ModulSignal 50mm and 70mm pole mount bases that come with aluminum or stainless steel poles?

Answer:

Yes - Note that the material would have to be cut off of the end opposite the mounting foot. The mounting foot is "glued" to the mounting to meet pull-out requirements and cannot be removed from the pole.

1. Remove the set screw in the base module at the top of the pole
2. Cut the pole to the desired length, being careful not to leave any sharp edges or loose pieces of metal in or around the tube
3. Replace the module and re-tighten the set screw

This technique only applies to 50mm and 70mm diameter modul SIGNAL aluminum and stainless steel pole mount bases. ECOmodul pole bases cannot be modified in length.
